Abstract
This revision deals with the species previously recorded from Africa, with Tetranychid material collected throughout southern Africa from 1959 onwards. Eight new genera are erected, and 130 new species are described, in all, 247 species are included. A key to 58 genera of the world is given with, under each genus represented in Africa, a key to the species. A list of food-plants and collection localities follows the description of each species.
