Abstract
The present paper deals with eight species of Gamasellodes. Three new species, viz., Gamasellodes islandicus, G. spinosus and G. sternalis are described and illustrated along with their affinities. Four other species, viz., G. americanus (Garman, 1948), G. garmani Hurlbutt, 1970, G. insignis (Hirschmann, 1962) and G. vulgatior Athias-Henriot, 1961 are recorded from India for the first time. G. bicolor (Berlese, 1918) is recorded from a new locality. A key to differentiate the above eight species has been included.
