Abstract

The Pyemotid genera Pygmephorus and Pyemotes are redefined. The former is divided into two morphologically and ecologically distinct subgenera, Pygmephorus sens strict. and Pygmephorellus subgen. n. Three new species, Pyemotes parviscolyti, Pygmephorus (subgen. Pygmephorellus) bennetti and P. (P.) brachycercus are described.
