Abstract

Dung beetles (Coleoptera) sampling over the North Western Morocco allowed to identify 13 phoretic Macrochelid species (genera Macrocheles and Glyptholaspis), with 3 new species for science. The generalist species Macrocheles perglaber was the most widely distributed, from the low lands to the 1000m. Bubas bison (Scarabaeidae) was the most attractive carrier and was observed to carry seven of the Macrochelidae species.
