Abstract
A new species Podapolipus (Podapolipoides) peruvensis is erected close to Podapolipus (Podapolipoides) porteri Husband, 1972, from Peru. All three developmental stages are described. The characteristics hitherto limiting the subgenus Podapolipoides are re-determined. Species constituting the subgenus are discussed and some previously considered valid, are synonimized with P. grassii.
