Size variation in the adult American dog tick Dermacentor variabilis Say (Acarina: Ixodidae)
1974 - Volume: 16 Issue: 2 pages: 214-219
Numerical taxonomy and probit analysis have shown a series of populations of the American dog tick, Dermacentor variabilis Say, to have distinct morphological variability. It is postulated that this variability is the result of natural selection and not the result of neutral or random drift.
