Abstract

Descriptions of the larvae of Eylais discreta, E. extendens, E. infitndibitlifera and E. setosa are given and they are compared with data from literature. E. setosa and E. extendens larvae parasitize on Coleoptera, E. discreta and E. infundibulifera on Corixidae. A number of host species is mentioned. It depends on the time of development of the eggs whether the species predominantly hibernates as egg or as parasitizing larva. This is discussed for the four species.
