Abstract
A new species of mites namely Ultratenuipalpus gonianaensis sp. nov. has been described and illustrated. A key to the species of Ultratenuipalpus is also given. Fourteen species of tenuipalpid mites have been recorded on new hosts. Brevipalpus rica Chaudhri and Tenuipalpus decus Chaudhri, Akbar and Rasool have been recorded for the first time from India and B. assamensis Sadana and Gupta, B. gauhatiensis Sadana and Gupta, B. solanensis Sadana and Gupta and B. tinsukiaensis Sadana and Gupta from Punjab.
