Abstract
We redescribed Pseudopirnodus persetosus, Baranek, 1985 and we studied its ontogenetic development. On the basis of new and complementary data, we established the genus Huarpescopes n.gen. with Pirnodus cryophilus Fernandez, 1989 as genotype. We made a comparison of both species for variations in chaetotaxy.
