Notes: Mitrofanov (1977) created the genus Meyernychus with Euretranychus emeticae Meyer, as type-species, because the la tter species and E. apheles Baker & Pritchard possesed 9 pairs of dorsal opisthosomal setae; first pair of dorsolaterals (c2) absent; fourth pair of dorsocentral setae (f1) in normal position; true claws pad-like and empodium lacking; tarsi I and II with a pair of loosely associated setae; female with 2 pairs of anal setae (ps1-2) (Meyer, 1987).
