Notes: This genus is distinctive in that tarsus I (Fig. 137) is provided with 4 pairs of duplex setae whereas tarsus II has the normal single set; empodium not truly pad-like but has a curved distal part bearing rows of dorsally directed tenent hairs; true claws pad-like; dorsal body setae set on prominent tubercles; second (d1), third (e1) and fourth (f1) pairs of dorsocentral setae contiguous but first pair of dorsocentral setae (c1) contiguous with first pair of dorsolateral setae (c2); dorsal body setae relatively long, slender and serrate; peritreme forms an anastomosis distally (Meyer, 1987).
