Oligonychus jiangxiensis Ma & Yuan, 1980

Classification

Tetranychidae - Tetranychinae - Tetranychini - Oligonychus

Accepted name

Oligonychus jiangxiensis Ma & Yuan, 1980. Ma & Yuan (1980a): 43.

Notes: Oligonychus jiangxiensis Ma & Yuan was briefly described from females only without detailed morphological characterization, and details of the male were absent. The authors did not compare it with any other closely distributed or closely related Oligonychus species, but instead compared it with O. endytus described from the United States on Quercus sp. (Fagaceae) (Migeon and Dorkeld 2021). Recently, Li et al. (2019) observed the type material of O. jiangxiensis, but did not re-describe or confirm its actual taxonomic status. The species identity of O. jiangxiensis will be clear after collecting and describing the male from the type host and locality. (Mushtaq et al. 2021)
