Abstract
An intensive survey, taxonomic studies by the authors on Tetranychidae from Egypt revealed the presence of a total of 33 species in 12 genera. Of these, 1 genus and 12 species are described as new. Many of the known and new species are of importance to agricultural entomology. Oligonychus punicae (Hirst), O. afrasiaticus (McG.) and O. pratensis (Banks) are recorded from the country for the first time. Keys to the genera and species are given.
