Abstract
Five plant species used as cover crops, 14 weeds from four locations in Costa Rica were sampled. The following mites were identified: the tenuipalpid Brevipalpus sp. and the tetranychids Mononychellus planki, Oligonychus gossypii, O. mcgregori, Tetranychina harti, Tetranychus desertorum, T. ludeni, T. marianae and T. urticae. Two unidentified predatory phytoseiids were found in two of the samples.
