Systematics and distribution of phytophagous and predatory mites on grape in Taiwan. Part I. Phytophagous mites. Journal of the Agricultural Association of China, 88: 56-73.

Abstract
Descriptions are given of the adults of 15 species of phytophagous mites that attack grape vines in Taiwan, together with keys for their separation, information on their systematic position. Two are new species and are described as Panonychus globosus and Tydeus pygiacus spp.n. Three species, Tetranychus ludeni Zacher, Tenuipalpus zhizhilashvilliae Rekk and Tydeus californicus (Banks), are recorded from Taiwan for the first time. The species of greatest economic importance are P. citri (McG.), which is dominant in vineyards in central, northern and eastern Taiwan, and Oligonychus biharensis (Hirst), which is the dominant species in the south. Brevipalpus obovatus Donn. is common throughout the island and causes considerable damage to the leaves, it has developed resistance to some acaricides.
