Abstract
Ten genera with one new subgenus, 17 species from Yemen are described and illustrated. Thirteen of these species are new, including: Bryobia pseudorubrioculus sp. nov. described from peaches, Beerella yemenensis sp. nov. from peaches and Abutilon sp., Paraplonobia dactyloni sp. nov. from Cynodon dactylon, Eutetranychus pruni sp. nov. from almond, E. ricinus sp. nov. from Ricinus communis, E. sanaae sp. nov. from almond, E. transverstriatus sp. nov. from peach, Mixonychus neoacaciae sp. nov. from Acacia, Oligonychus dactyloni sp. nov. from Cynodon dactylon, and O. oenotherae sp. nov. from Oenothera sp. Bryobia bakeri is newly recorded from this country, being found on Calendula officinalis. Four other undetermined species (all females) are described and figured. Four known species are briefly redescribed and illustrated in order to provide the first comprehensive report of the tetranychid fauna of Yemen.
