Abstract
Drepanonychus hapsis gen. nov., sp. nov., Eotetranychus pronus sp. nov., E. pseudomori sp. nov., Schizotetranychus russeus sp. nov., and S. sagatus sp. nov., are described. All five mites feed on Queensland native plants. The tribal placement of the new genus Drepanonychus is discussed and a key given to genera of the tribe Eurytetranychini, family Tetranychidae. The two species of Schizotetranychus are the first in this genus to be recorded from Australia.
