Abstract
In studies on arthropod pests of chestnut trees in western Anatolia, the tetranychids Oligonychus aceris, Eotetranychus carpini were recorded for the first time in the whole of Turkey, and E. tiliarius and the tenuipalpid Brevipalpus obovatus were recorded for the first time from western Anatolia and from chestnut. A phytoseiid predator, Euseius finlandicus, was found associated with O. aceris, E. tiliarius and especially E. carpini, which had not previously been observed in western Anatolia.
