Abstract
Bryobia rubrioculus was found on apples, pears, sweet, sour cherries, peaches, plums, cherry plums, almonds, quinces, walnuts and lilac. Its life cycle is described. Of the ovicides tested on apple trees, Preparation No.30 [mineral oil] at 4-5% gave up to 95.6% control. Of the acaricides tested, Rogor [dimethoate] at 0.15% applied at the pink-bud stage and again after flowering gave up to 98.2% control and its effect lasted for 45-50 days. The effects of other pesticides are discussed.
