Abstract
The life cycle of Tetranychus ludeni, reared on Phaseolus vulgaris, was studied in the laboratory at 26.34 plus or minus 3.92 deg C, 69.44 plus or minus 19.44% RH. The mean duration of the different developmental stages in days was: egg 4.68, larva 1.75, protonymph 1.31, deutonymph 1.85. The total life cycle was 9.98 and 9.25 days for females and males, resp. From the life table the calculated reproduction rate was 77.42, mean generation time 19.63, intrinsic rate of natural increase 0.2526 individuals/female/day and finite rate of natural increase was 1.2874 individuals/female/day
