Pest control for cassava and sweet potato. Root crops in eastern Africa. Proceedings of a workshop, 60-64.

Abstract
Published work is briefly reviewed. Cassava plants which have shown high resistance to Mononychellus tanajoa have hairy young leaves, good vigour. Some resistance to Phenacoccus manihoti has been identified. On some clones, Zonocerus variegatus fed on and attacked only the lower leaves. Screening of 700 varieties of sweet potato revealed low resistance to Cylas puncticollis
