Abstract
Notes are given on the mites that have been observed on Musa spp. (including plantains, bananas) in Venezuela. Those that are here recorded for the first time from Venezuela and for the first time from Musa are Oligonychus punicae (Hirst), Amblyseius concordis (Chant), A. largoensis (Muma), Typhlodromus cornus De Leon, T. longipilus Nesbitt, Pronematus ubiquitus (McG.) and Tydeus californicus (Banks). O. zeae (McG.) is recorded for the first time from Musa in Venezuela, new locality records in Venezuela are given for Tetranychus abacae Baker & Pritchard and Brevipalpus phoenicis (Geijskes), and Amblyseius anonymus Chant & Baker is recorded for the first time from Venezuela
