Abstract
Twelve mite species, belonging to 11 genera, 5 families, are reported from Bambusa sp. in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Four new species of Tetranychidae (Monoceronychus bambusicola sp. nov., Oligonychus santoantoniensis sp. nov., Schizotetranychus longirostris sp. nov. and S. paraelymus sp. nov.) are described. The cheyletid genus Cheletomimus is recorded for the first time in South America
