GeneClass2 setup

Don't forget to register in order to be kept informed of new releases.

Write me in case of troubles during the installation.

For Windows™:

Once the setup file Setup_GeneClass_2.0_Eng.exe downloaded on your computer, double-clic on it from the explorer in order to execute it and start the setup assistant. You can choose the most convenient setup directory.

Uninstallation : Use the uninstall icon in the menu Start->Programs->CBGP->GeneClass2.

For Linux™:

Download the file geneclass-2.0.g-mdk.i586.rpm (Mandrake or RedHat), or the file GeneClass2.tar.gz (other versions) which contains the distribution.

• If you downloaded the .rpm file, start as root the following command line:
  rpm -i geneclass-2.0.g-mdk.i586.rpm
  You can also either use your preferred package manager..
  
• If you downloaded the .tar.gz file, start as root the following command lines:
  cp GeneClass2.tar.gz /
  cd /
  gzip -d GeneClass2.tar.gz
  tar xvf GeneClass2.tar
  rm GeneClass2.tar

The whole distribution is installed in: /usr/local/geneclass2
Start GeneClass2 by typing the following command: /usr/local/geneclass2/bin/geneclass2
You can store this command in an icon on your desktop for a more convenient use. An icon is available in the etc directory of the distribution.

Uninstallation : Type in a console the following command: rpm -e geneclass-2.0-1mdk for rpm distribution, or for the .tar.gz distribution delete (as root) the whole directory /usr/local/geneclass2.
