The species is closely related to P. punctata (Nicolet) from which it differs by having shorter notogastral setae, longer free-ended tutoria and larger Aa and A1 areae porosae. P. snowdonensis is unique amongst the Achipteriidae in having a pore-like structure on the anterior part of the pteromorph. ER -
