Hyalomma truncatum and Rhipicephalus guilhoni immature ticks infested rodents at the end of the rainy season, with a larval peak in October and a nymphal infestation peak in December. Dynamics of the tick populations of both species were compared. H. truncatum and R. guilhoni presented a similar pattern, with one cycle per year. Their role in the maintenance of the CCHF virus is discussed. ER -
