Abstract
Raster elektronenmikroskopische Untersuchungen von Cheyletus eruditus (Schrank, 1781) (Acarina, Cheyletidae). - The economic and medical significance of the mite Cheyletus eruditus as a destroyer of store-pests respectively of the asthma-mite Dermatophagoides pteronyssinits is considered. Biological and behavioral data (especially concerning care of the brood) are summarized, and the morphological appearance of the mites as revealed by scanning electron microscopy is described.
