Abstract

The opisthosomal chaetotaxy of holotrichous Gamasina is reviewed on the hypothetical basis that there are six embryonic opisthosomal segments in these mites. Using ascid mites as exemplars, the notation for the posterior ventrolateral setae of the opisthosoma is modified.
